Disabled Writers in Development

Exciting opportunity for Deaf, Disabled and/or Neurodivergent Writers

We’re pleased to announce that we are taking part in the ITV Studios Disabled Writers in Development programme, returning this year alongside Hartswood Films, Quay Street Productions and Silverprint Pictures.

This fantastic 12-month paid opportunity created by ITV’s Diversity, Equity and Inclusion team will provide four writers with the opportunity to develop a treatment and pilot script, build their network and learn from industry specialists.

Who can apply:

  • Who: Each production house is looking for one Deaf, Disabled, and/or Neurodivergent writer (18+ & UK and NI resident);

  • Experience: Must have two paid professional writing credits and have an original sample script to submit (read full criteria here);

  • Location: Can be based anywhere in the UK and NI; the programme will combine remote work, a mix of virtual and in-person meetings and networking sessions in London (all travel will be covered).

Submit your application at this link before Tuesday 26 May at 23:59.
